No. 5: Todd Blackledge – College Football Analyst, ESPN

From the booth to the commissioner’s office? Why not. Blackledge would be a quality candidate who has been around college football practically his entire life and has an intimate knowledge of some of the biggest programs and coaches in the nation.

Blackledge is the quintessential “good guy”, and would be a perfect face for the sport. He has all the qualities needed for a good leader, and has always taken to enriching the lives of young people (as seen in his current position has head basketball coach at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio).

There is an admitted lack of administration experience on his resume, but that wouldn’t mean Blackledge isn’t up to the task. He’s been working as a college football analyst for over 20 years and has the ear of many in the sport.

This selection would be a longshot, but the game could certainly do worse.
