American Athletic Conference

Contenders for the Cellar: Tulane Green Wave, UCF Knights, SMU Mustangs

Pick For Last: UCF Knights

2015 Record: 0-12, 0-8 American
2016 Prediction: 3-9, 2-6 American

As bad as SMU and Tulane were last year (and will be again), they will at least show some improvement it would seem. On the other hand, UCF was absolutely dreadful last season, and first-year coach Scott Frost is going to have his hands full trying to turn this ship around.

The Knights may win a game or two more than 2015, but they still don’t have enough talent in place to really make a big difference. It’s hard to believe this was a team who was considered a true BCS-buster just a few short years ago.

Unless the NCAA grants Blake Bortles some additional eligibility, things won’t look much better in Central Florida this year.
