No. 3 – Raise the Level of Competition in the ACC Once Again

Just 20 years ago we would have been snickered at for talking about a football champion coming from the ACC – the ultimate basketball conference.

But each time the ACC adds a premier program – FSU, Miami, Virginia Tech, etc – the level of recruiting and play among the other members has exponentially gotten better, and the ACC now rivals some of the oldest football conferences in the nation with teams involved in or winning the national championship nearly every season.

The addition of Notre Dame would further solidify the ACC as a top football conference, and would bring even better players and coaches to the lower-tier programs in the conference. This would make those ACC-SEC Bowl matchups even better.
