Ezekiel Elliott accused of domestic violence, denies allegations
Former Ohio State Buckeyes running back and Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott has been accused of domestic violence.
Ezekiel Elliott has been accused of domestic abuse by a woman who claims the former Ohio State back and Dallas Cowboys rookie running back was her live-in boyfriend, according to TMZ Sports.
The woman claims she was assaulted while sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car and Elliott denied the accusations. He has not been arrested.
The Cowboys haven’t made an official statement regarding the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but according to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort-Worth Star-Telegram, the team doesn’t believe the allegations to be true.
Further, Mike Leslie of WFAA reports Elliott has messages saved on his phone that will prove the woman is trying to set him up.
After the news broke of the accusations levied against Elliott, former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin appeared on the Rich Eisen Show who characterized this as a bad break up and that Elliott told him he never put his hands on her.
Police spoke to four witnesses of the alleged assault and denied any such thing happened, including one person who was inside the vehicle when the assault was deemed to have taken place by the accuser.
