Both guys were fan favorites and will be dearly missed by friends, family, coaches and fans. It’s hard to describe punters as perfect role models for a football program, but that’s exactly what both Sadler and Foltz were.

You can tell just how much they meant to their respective programs by the outpouring of tweets and support from former teammates, coaches and even fans who had never met them. Their loss has been felt by just about everyone, and they’re going to be missed greatly.

Details emerged late this afternoon about the accident and what actually took place on Saturday night in Wisconsin.

Apparently, Sadler was driving the car on his way home from a kicking camp with Sam Foltz and a second passenger reported to be LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye when he lost control on the wet pavement, veered off the road and struck a tree. Both Foltz and Sadler were pronounced dead at the scene while Delayahousse was admitted to and released from an area hospital.
