Texas A&M Recruiting: 4-star WR Hezekiah Jones commits to Aggies
The Texas A&M recruiting class added the commitment from four-star wide receiver Hezekiah Jones.
The Texas A&M Aggies picked up a big commitment Friday as 2017 four-star wide receiver Hezekiah Jones (Deerfield Beach. Deerfield Beach, FL) committed to the program.
Jones is the No. 136 player in the 2017 class, No. 18 wide receiver, and the No. 20 player in the state of Texas per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Receiving 26 offers in total, he was recruited to Texas A&M by Running Backs Coach Clarence McKinney and Wide Receivers Coach Aaron Moorhead.
On the Aggie front, they were involved with his recruitment from the very beginning. He attended a camp on June 8, 2014, and that would be all for the ’14 calendar year. However, things picked up in 2015.

2015 saw Jones attend the Aggie Junior Day, on January 25, and he received an offer from the program that same day. He then took an unofficial visit to College Station on March 26, and that would be all until the summer when he attended a school camp on June 7.
Although he committed to Baylor on June 24, he continued to visit other schools and accumulate offers throughout the course of the year.
2016 saw a major change in Jones’ recruitment status as on May 28, he decommitted from Baylor. That same day, he was offered by Auburn. He continued to go through the recruiting process and he attended two separate recruiting barbecues held by the Aggies on June 11 and July 23. At long last, his whirlwind recruitment process ended Friday as he made his pledge to College Station.

With this commitment, Texas A&M’s class now has 19 commitments. That is good enough for No. 8 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC per the 247Sports Team Rankings.
Jones is a speedy wide receiver who can get past his man quickly. He will fit well in the Texas A&M offense.
