The Georgia recruiting class added the commitment from four-star outside linebacker Adam Anderson.

Just because fall camp has started does not mean that things quiet down on the recruiting trail. That was the case for the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday as 2018 four-star outside linebacker Adam Anderson (Rome. Rome, GA) committed to the program. This news was first reported by Rusty Mansell of 247Sports.

Anderson is the No. 145 player in the 2018 class, No. 7 outside linebacker, and the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Notching four offers in total from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia, he was recruited to the Bulldogs by offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jim Chaney and assistant defensive coach Kevin Sherrer.

On the Georgia front, he took an unofficial visit to Athens on February 20 and received an offer the same day. He then was visited by Chaney on April 20 and Sherrer May 6.

Friday, we saw his commitment come full circle as he chose to be in the Georgia fold.

With this commitment, this marks the second pledge in the Georgia 2018 troop. Anderson joins four-star offensive tackle Max Wray in a class that ranks No. 11 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC per the 247Sports Team Rankings.

Although it is still early in the ’18 cycle, with these two commitments, the Bulldogs are putting together the makings of a solid class.

Anderson has tremendous leaping ability, which helps him shed blocks and be an asset on the goal line. He will add explosiveness to a Georgia defense that could use another big-time playmaker.
