  • 2015 Stats: 4,104 passing yards, 35 TDs, 13 Ints

Out of all the quarterbacks in the nation, the best among them is Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Watson proved last season that he is a force and can will his team to do anything in leading them to the College Football Playoff and the National Championship game. While Clemson did lose to Alabama in the championship, with Watson, the Tigers will be right back in the hunt for the championship in 2016.

Watson has weapons to get the ball to in the Clemson offense, led by wide receivers Hunter Renfrow and Artavis Scott. Wayne Gallman at running back provides a safety valve for Watson and someone who can help keep the offense moving and balanced. The Tigers will also have three returning starters on the offensive line in 2016.

Deshaun Watson’s ability to make plays and extend plays are what truly separate him from the rest of the quarterbacks in the nation. He has a live arm and can scramble and make plays with his feet when needed too. Not to mention the level of success he has sustained at Clemson, including finishing second in Heisman voting in 2015.

Watson will have enormous expectations (possibly an understatement) to repeat his numbers from 2015, as well as to get Clemson back to the playoffs. He will definitely be able to repeat those numbers (barring injury) with the talent that he himself has and the talent of the players that surround him. Watson will challenge for the Heisman and if he can lead Clemson past Florida State, should be back in the Playoff.
