  • Career Stats: 6,031 passing yards, 50 TD’s, 24 Ints
  • 2015 Stats: 2,777 passing yards, 19 TD’s, 11 Ints

Did you think that Gunner Kiel was finally done with college football? In the words of Lee Corso, “not so fast my friend!”

Kiel has proven to be a steady starter for Cincinnati, while also being a bit turnover prone. That being said, Kiel has the skills to lead the Bearcats to an AAC championship and has the tools that continue to make him a viable NFL prospect.

It won’t be the easiest of tasks for Kiel in 2016. After his leaving the team for personal reasons before the Hawaii Bowl, Kiel will have to earn his spot back. Not only will it be a real battle for the starting job but Kiel will have a whole new set of receivers to throw too, as Cincy has to replace all the five leading receivers from last year.

Kiel has the tools and experience to be a better quarterback than last year; he will need help from new players to achieve that potential in 2016.
