Cal vs Hawaii live stream: Watch Golden Bears vs Rainbow Warriors online
Watch the first college football game of the 2016 season with the live stream for the California Golden Bears and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
The 2016 college football season has arrived with the Cal Golden Bears and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors playing from Australia. The first game on American soil is still a few days away but the season begins on Friday evening with the first game in Australia since 1987. It should be an exciting time for fans to see a game in a new environment and see how excited the Australians in attendance respond to the game.
California is looking to replace Jared Goff who was the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft after leading the team to the first winning season in the Sonny Dykes era. The 8-5 record may be difficult to match with Goff and last year’s top six receivers gone.
Graduate transfer Davis Webb is the x-factor and comes to California from Texas Tech with starting experience. He once beat out Baker Mayfield with the Red Raiders before ultimately losing his job to the very talented Patrick Mahomes with the Red Raiders. Webb has the physical tools and intangibles to have a big season if former Texas A&M offensive coordinator Jake Spavital meshes well with Dykes.
Hawaii has a new head coach in Nick Rolovich who returns to his alma mater with his first head coaching gig. He comes from Nevada where he served as offensive coordinator since 2012. He is a former quarterback for Hawaii.
Opening against Pac-12 opponents has become a staple for Hawaii who makes it seven straight years they’ve opened the season from the conference. They’ve gone 2-4 in those years and find themselves a 22.5-point underdog against Cal.

I think Cal will be able to score often against the Hawaii defense. Webb may look a little rusty in the first quarter but should settle in nicely and throw for more than 225 yards and 2-3 touchdowns.
