4. Houston upsets Oklahoma

No.15 Houston takes on No. 3 Oklahoma in a battle of two intriguing teams. Don’t overlook this game, as it is shaping up to be a good one. I am convinced Oklahoma and Bob Stoops will have a good team this year. In fact, they are much improved from last year.

Seasoned quarterback Baker Mayfield commands the troops. Maybe the most threatening part of the team is Samaje Perine. He must have a good game for the Sooners to come out on top. With Bob Stoops being a defensive genius, I doubt anyone is worried about the defense. But will they have enough power to make it to the playoff? Perhaps, but in order to do that, they have to get through a Houston team that smells blood already.

Coached by rising star Tom Herman, Houston can’t wait to start the season. After beating Florida State in last year’s Peach Bowl, the Cougars want more blood. They want Bob Stoops and the Sooners to be their next victims. Houston’s star is their quarterback, Greg Ward Jr., who plays the position well enough to possibly have a future in the league.

With his stout leadership, the Cougars are in good hands. Can the Cougars handle themselves in a big game against a powerhouse school? We’ll see, but my guess is yes. That’s why I’m putting Oklahoma on upset alert, as Houston will come out victorious over the Sooners.
