Or should we just refer to this as “Tailback U”? When you look at the long list of big time running backs to come out of Georgia, it’s almost staggering.

And the Dawgs just keep stacking them up.

But beyond some hall of fame caliber running backs, the last 15 years of Bulldog draft picks has been marked with some outstanding defensive talent who have gone on to stellar NFL careers.

Georgia’s biggest draft class came in 2013 when the Bulldogs sent eight players on to make NFL dreams come true. While that’s not an oversized class of draftees, if you look at Georgia’s history, rarely do they have a year go by when they don’t have at least five or more players selected. That’s consistency.

But for all the great defensive talent entering the NFL during the Mark Richt years, there were some players who just fizzled, such as 2003 number six overall pick Johnathan Sullivan, who played three lackluster seasons for the Saints.
