No. 9 Iowa State Cyclones

The Cyclones were expected to improve this season, but taking a week one loss against Northern Iowa of the Missouri Valley Football Conference doesn’t do a lot for its expectation level, or the conference as a whole.

Moreover, Iowa State has now taken three losses to Northern Iowa in the last six meetings. So for a Group of Five team in UNI, it says more about their tenacity than Iowa State’s expected improvements.
