Illinois State v. Northwestern (Saturday, 3:30 pm)

After losing to Western Michigan in Week 1, it is unlikely that the Wildcats will fall two weeks in a row. But if they were going to dig themselves into a hole before Big Ten play starts, there would be far more shocking candidates to pull off the upset than Illinois State.

The Redbirds were FCS playoff quarterfinalists last season and opened their ledger in 2016 with a 50-13 trouncing of Valparaiso. Northwestern better be alert and refrain from looking ahead lest they lose again.
