Number 6. Tennessee

Week 1 results: (1-0) 20-13 Win against Appalachian State

Tennessee did not look good last Thursday, lets just be honest.

For all of the hype and talk about Tennessee being back, the Volunteers looked like a completely vulnerable team against the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Josh Dobbs made bad decisions with the football and did not appear to have made any progress as a passer. The offense for Tennessee just never seemed to get going but caught many breaks, including the fumble recovery that won the game.

The Volunteer defense did look good, if Tennessee wants to prove they belong, games like last Thursday are not the way to prove that you, “are back.”
