Tim Tebow Will Continue to Serve as SEC Network Analyst

The New York Mets signed Tim Tebow to a minor league deal, but the former Heisman Trophy winner will still stay on board as an analyst for the SEC Network.

After weeks of news stories covering former NFL quarterback and college football legend Tim Tebow trying to get into professional baseball, the Heisman Trophy winner has finally found a new team.

On Thursday, the New York Mets announced that they had signed Tebow to a minor league deal, with the 29-year-old starting his baseball career in the instructional league. The signing was made official just eight days after Tebow’s workout in front of 28 MLB teams.

With Tebow gearing up for a baseball season, you might think that his time at the SEC Network would be coming to an end. However, the network and ESPN announced shortly after the signing that Tebow could continue to serve as an analyst for the network.

Stephanie Druley, ESPN’s senior VP of event and studio production, released the following statement regarding Tebow.

Fans of Tebow will be excited to hear that he will continue as an analyst for the SEC Network. Although he seemed slightly uncomfortable at first as an analyst, Tebow has quickly become a strong on-camera personality. After all, Tebow knows what he’s talking about as arguably the greatest college football player of all time.

Between playing baseball in the Mets’ farm system and giving his takes on the SEC, it sounds like Tebow is going to have a very busy fall ahead of him. Only time will tell whether or not he can continue to juggle both jobs.
