Danny Etling is Going to Fix What Ails LSU

This one is laughable, and is mostly being heard from the LSU fan base.

Certainly Danny Etling did a great job of waking the Tigers out of their doldrums this weekend. But he did it against Jacksonville State, in a game when emotions from the entire team were running high after the deflating loss to Wisconsin in Week 1.

LSU has a vicious schedule coming up, and Etling is a quarterback who lost his starting job at Purdue. Remember the Boilermakers? That team who has gone 6-20 since the start of the 2014 season, and hasn’t sniffed a conference victory since their upset win over Nebraska on October 31 of last season.

LSU fans should probably talk to Georgia fans about the pain of relying on a starting quarterback who lost his starting job in a bottom-feeder program from another conference.

The problems facing LSU offensively have more to do with Les Miles and his stubbornness than they do with Danny Etling’s golden arm. Until Miles let’s offensive coordinator Cam Cameron do what he does best (run an actual offense) things are going to continue to be shaky in Baton Rouge.
