3. Notre Dame will beat Michigan State by two touchdowns.

The nation has watched Notre Dame play a strong Texas team, but ultimately come up short. Michigan State however, has yet to be tested, especially by such an efficient scoring team as Notre Dame. This match up pits the12th-ranked Spartans against the 18th-ranked Fighting Irish. The game is being played in South Bend, so expect the Irish to come out hyped and ready to go.

For Michigan State, they will have to rely on their defense to stop the Irish offense. Without a doubt, the Irish will score, but keeping them below a few touchdowns will put the Spartans in a great place to go for the win. The Spartan offense has to realize that points are going to be scored, probably a lot. If their offense can produce a running game early, and then beat the Irish deep late in the game, the Spartans can pull it off.

Notre Dame will need to play like they did against Texas if they hope to come out the victors. The Irish started off playing two quarterbacks, which Brian Kelly knew about halfway through, wasn’t going to work. Hopefully Kelly has come to his senses and will continue playing Deshone Kizer. Kisser amazed many people in that first game, but can he stay consistent? In order for him to play well, the Irish cannot allow the defense to get hits on him.

Both of these teams are strong, but Notre Dame has shown the nation that they can score. As long as the Irish defense holds the Spartans every now and then, the Irish should come out with the upset.
