College GameDay is heading to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in Louisville this week as the Cardinals take on the Florida State Seminoles. With such a big game coming to town on Saturday, Louisville wanted to make sure its players had a fresh look to help them play with a little extra confidence.
Louisville signed a five year partnership with Adidas back in 2014, and the two sides have been able to create some exciting apparel for the Cardinals’ athletes. For Saturday’s game against Florida State, the Cardinals unveiled some brand new chrome helmets that are some of the sharpest that the school has had in some time.
The red helmets with the white Cardinals logo should go well with whatever jerseys the team decides to wear. You can check the helmets out in the Twitter photo below.
The Cardinals and Seminoles are probably playing in the biggest game of the week. After all, Louisville is ranked No. 10 and the Seminoles are No. 2 in the latest AP Poll. Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson has looked like the Heisman Trophy front runner so far, and fans are hoping that he can help Louisville pull off the upset on Saturday.
