5. Tennessee (3-0)

Last week rank: 6

Week 3 result: 28-19 win against Ohio

If Tennessee plays down to the level of their competition, does that also mean they’ll play up to the level of some teams like Florida and Alabama?

Volunteer fans better hope that is the case. After beating Virginia Tech, Tennessee looked to have put their demons from the Appalachian State game away. Those problems reared their ugly head in Knoxville on Saturday as Ohio was in the game the entire time and Tennessee never really could put them away and came out with a nine point victory. The win was even worse for Tennessee when you consider the fact that they lost star defensive players, Cam Sutton and Jalen Reeves-Maybin.

Tennessee has looked like a great team for exactly one game. The other two they just look like a middle of the road SEC team. An SEC matchup with Florida awaits, as does the opportunity for Tennessee to prove itself.

Next game: September 24, vs Florida, 3:30pm ET CBS
