13. Kentucky (1-2)

Last week rank: 14

Week 3 result: 62-42 win against New Mexico State

While Kentucky did finally score some points on offense, the Wildcats are still one of the worst teams in the conference.

Even against New Mexico State the defense couldn’t stop anyone. If you can’t stop the offense of New Mexico State, you won’t stop most if not all offenses in the SEC. The Kentucky offense did produce after the injury to Drew Barker, which is somewhat encouraging, it stills remains to be seen if Kentucky will be able to move the ball against better teams after Florida did not allow the Kentucky offense anything a week ago.

If Mark Stoops wants to keep his job in Lexington, then the Wildcats will have to show that they can sustain success against SEC competitors. They’ll have that chance next weekend against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
