10. Iowa State Cyclones (Record: 0-3)

Sticking to my power ranking trends, the Cyclones are coming off its first 0-3 start since 1997, so it’s hard to place them any higher than 10th. Having bucked tradition of scheduling fluid non-conference scheduling and taking on TCU in Week 2, Iowa State will take on San Jose State this week before heading to Baylor.

The Cyclones have continued quarterbacking issues, and even though reps have been split, the offensive numbers are bad enough to make the Big 12’s most inconsistent defenses look good. For head coach Matt Campbell, that’s a frustrating reality, but the Cyclones need to see every play as a learning opportunity this season.
