8. Kansas State Wildcats (Record: 1-1)

Kansas State came into Week 3 off an early bye to route FAU, 63-7. This win was pretty much a guarantee for the Wildcats–especially with home advantage–but one major factor that stood out while reviewing stats and film,: penalties. Twelve to be exact. In a conference where mental mistakes have proven costly more times than we’re willing to count, this could be Kansas State’s biggest vice, so far.

Kansas State has the opportunity to tighten up before headed into conference play, as it hosts Missouri State this weekend.
