Boise State Broncos at Oregon State Beavers (Saturday/3:30 pm)

Boise State didn’t necessarily choose the toughest of Pac-12 opponents to play this year, but they do already have a win over Washington State and could be 2-0 against Power Five opponents. Whether it can be classified as a true upset is another question, but it would be yet another statement from a Group of Five program. That said, it would be more surprising if the Broncos didn’t knock off Oregon State on Saturday.

The Beavers have already lost to Minnesota, a team ranked 34 spots below the Broncos in the Sagarin ratings. Oregon State could be playing decent defense, but it is more likely that their current stats are skewed by playing FCS Idaho State in their only other contest since the Minnesota loss. Utah State transfer Darell Garretson completed just 15 of his 30 attempts for 172 yards and an interception against Idaho State, so Boise State’s defense could have a field day on Saturday.
