The Aggies and Razorbacks are both off to 3-0 starts as they enter SEC play. This week has early conference implications as Arkansas looks to start 1-0 while A&M is already 1-0…

The Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas A&M Aggies are two up and coming programs in the SEC.

The Texas A&M Aggies have enjoyed the emergence of quarterback Trevor Knight this season. Knight is third in the SEC in passing yards (830) and fourth in the SEC in total touchdowns (8).

He has shown his ability to not only be a pocket passer but scramble when needed as well. Knight has three rushing touchdowns on the season.

Last week, the Aggies outplayed the Auburn Tigers in a 29-16 victory for Texas A&M’s first conference victory. Knight was 24-40 with 247 passing yards and a touchdown.

The Razorbacks are riding high on the wave of head coach Brent Bielema into their first SEC game. Upset is certainly on their mind this week, as they travel to Texas.

Quarterback Austin Allen has played decent to the tune of 655 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns in his first year as starter. He is the brother of former starting quarterback Brandon Allen.

Allen had a good showing in last week’s 42-3 tuneup against Texas State. He was 16 for 21 with 241 passing yards and two touchdowns. Running back Rawleigh Williams III rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns as well.
