This is an interesting game to read, as there were weather delays in Waco that halted play in the game between Baylor and Oklahoma State. By press time on this article Baylor had taken a 21-14 halftime lead, with Seth Russell throwing for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Oklahoma State scored right away in the second half to tie the game once again. Should OSU win in this Big 12 showdown, the Bears would drop down at least six spots and the Cowboys might reenter the poll.

Baylor has once again played nobody of consequence in non-conference play yet still has put up the sort of numbers that opened pollsters eyes. As such, they might still be higher in the AP Top 25 than they deserve — even after beating Oklahoma State. After hosting the Cowboys the next big test for the Bears comes on October 29 when they begin a three game stretch against Texas in Austin, TCU at home, and Oklahoma in Norman.
