Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs dropped 13 spots in the AP Poll rankings to No. 25 after a 45-14 thrashing at the hands of the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Bulldogs did not score a point in the game until the third quarter. They trailed 31-0 at halftime. The defense allowed 510 yards of offense and quarterback Jacob Eason’s early pick six set the tone for how things would go for Georgia in the game.

Georgia scored a touchdown with five minutes left in the third quarter. They are now 1-1 in the SEC.

It’s back to the drawing board again for the offense as well. Eason threw for just 137 passing yards and also had an interception.

On the bright side, the team managed to rack up 230 rushing yards but running back Nick Chubb was held to just 57 rushing yards. Running back Sony Michel had 11 carries for 66 yards.

Next Week: No. 11 Tennessee

There’s no time to relax for Georgia as the Volunteers come to town next week. The Bulldogs have won five of the last six meetings but lost last season’s meeting 38-31.
