Week 4 result – DNP

Illinois got a break after losing two games in a row. Starting the season with a strong win and then falling twice isn’t what they wanted, but it’s what to expect from this growing team.

The Fighting Illini can’t expect much this season. They showed promise in their opening game, but now that the excitement has died down and their true colors are showing. Lovie Smith needs to continue to build this roster over the next few seasons. If he can successfully do that, they could be a top Big Ten team.

They’ll begin conference play next week, but don’t look for Illinois to do to much for the rest of the season.
