Unlike Les Miles, Gus Malzahn lived to fight another day after the Auburn Tigers defeated the LSU Tigers this past Saturday.

Auburn has lived by the fact of whether they have an offense for the game or not. The Auburn defense has been perhaps the biggest surprise of the season, not allowing many points and has impressed against top teams like Clemson and Texas A&M. If Auburn continues to play well on defense and gets enough out of their offense then they can be a sneaky and dangerous team throughout the rest of the season.

Auburn will take on Louisiana-Monroe this week before getting back into SEC action, when they travel to face Mississippi State in two weeks.

Next game: October 1 vs UL-Monroe, 3:30pm ET SEC Network
