Houston’s defense leads the conference in sacks with 14. Linebackers Steven Taylor and Tyus Bower have 5.5 and 3.5. sacks respectively.
At 2-2, misfortune has been the name of the game for the UConn Huskies. They have lost their two games this season by an average of one possession.
The Huskies couldn’t overcome turnovers and their secondary gave up over 400 passing yards at home in their 31-24 loss to the Orange last week.
Quarterback Bryant Shireffs threw a pick six with the game tied 17 all in the third quarter and things fell apart from there. The Huskies gave up another touchdown with 2:14 remaining in the game.
Wide receiver Noel Thomas is second in the conference with 40 receptions and third in the conference with 388 passing yards.
