It’s the ACC’s biggest game of the year and it pits two teams ranked in the AP Top 5 against each other. The Clemson Tigers look to extend their streak to 3-0 over Louisville in the series.

The Louisville Cardinals have looked unstoppable through the first five weeks of college football. All thanks to quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson leads the FBS with 25 total touchdowns. His 8.6 rushing yards per carry and his 1,330 passing yards are second in the ACC. His 526 rushing yards lead all rushers in the ACC.

The sophomore quarterback has done it all for the Cardinals offense. The offense has scored 63.5 points per game, which is first in the FBS. Their 682 yards of total offense per game ranks first in the FBS. The Cardinals have scored 254 points through four games so far this season.

The Louisville defense has played well so far as well. They allow just 278 total yards on defense per game which ranks 12th in the FBS just behind the Wisconsin Badgers.

Their work will be cut out for them this week as they look to dominate both sides of the ball. The Cardinals are 0-10 against the AP Top 15 in true road games.

The Clemson Tigers look to take the reigns in the ACC Atlantic division this week. While the Tigers offense hasn’t looked entirely explosive yet, the defense has played its part.

The defense allows 11 points per game and just 125.8 yards per game. They struggled in Week 2 against the Troy Trojans but last week’s 26-7 victory over Georgia Tech show adjustments being made.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson has 996 passing yards for nine touchdowns on the young season. His favorite target receiver Hunter Renfrow, is currently out for a few more weeks with a broken hand.

The Tigers haven’t used much of their weapons outside of Watson so far this season. Look for running back Wayne Gallman to emerge as an X-factor in this week’s game.
