Notre Dame vs Syracuse Live Stream: Watch Fighting Irish vs Orange Online
By Tim Kaiser
Check out how to watch Notre Dame take on Syracuse at Metlife Stadium online.
Notre Dame is probably the most disappointing team in college football. They are trying to avoid a three-game losing streak and back-to-back losses to basketball schools. Now they’ll face a Syracuse team with a top-ten aerial attack.
Many experts thought Notre Dame had a chance to crack the College Football Playoff this season. Brian Kelly had an embarrassment of riches with quarterbacks Deshone Kizer and Malik Zaire coming back with starting experience. However, Kelly liked both so much he didn’t let either get into a rhythm in the first game. His quarterback flip-flopping was at least partially attributed for their double-overtime loss to Texas. The only real solace Irish fans can take is that all three of their losses have come by just one score. That doesn’t do a lot for you when one of them is to Duke at home. Kelly fired his defensive coordinator after the loss and threw his players under the bus in the postgame press conference. If they lose this game, he will be joining Les Miles in the unemployment line.
If new Notre Dame defensive coordinator Greg Hudson can’t vastly improve the Fighting Irish defense in just one week, Syracuse is a team who can exploit it. The Orange under the leadership of sophomore quarterback Eric Dungey is averaging 371 yards passing. The problem is one of the few teams with a worse defense so far this season is Syracuse. Notre Dame is 101st in scoring defense and 106th in yards allowed; Syracuse is 106th and 111th. All signs point to a shootout.
The line that opened at 13 has moved aggressively towards the Orange, but Notre Dame is still a 10-point favorite.
