Who were the top performers from Saturday night’s Alabama vs Arkansas game in Fayetteville.

People are still trying to gauge the talent level of Alabama. The Crimson Tide have been running through opponents fairly easily through five weeks and traveling to Fayetteville would present a tough test for them in Week 6.

Through one half, and a 35-17 lead, it was evident that Alabama was the same type of team it was last season when the Crimson Tide won the national title. This team is just too good for the rest of the country and might end up running away with the crown.

If you don’t believe Alabama is the clear national title favorite by now, you probably haven’t watched one of the Tide’s games. The Crimson Tide made the No. 16 Razorbacks look like a middle-of-the-pack squad, and nothing more.

The Crimson Tide ran away with this one,  and there might not be a team in college football who can stop them.

1. Alabama is clearly the nation’s best team

No one can slow down the Crimson Tide right now, and that’s pretty clear. Alabama is the best team in the nation and is running through opponents with ease. As long as Jalen Hurts is on his game and the defense takes advantage of turnovers, the Crimson Tide won’t lose a game. This is the third ranked team the Crimson Tide have beaten this year.

2. Jalen Hurts is an elite quarterback

The freshman quarterback for the Crimson Tide is showing on a weekly basis just why Blake Barnett has decided to transfer. For as long as he’s in Tuscaloosa, Hurts will be the starting quarterback. He’s tough to defend and he ended the game with 253 passing yards and two touchdowns on 13-of-17 completions along with two rushing scores. Hurts is becoming elite, if he hasn’t already been dubbed as such already.

3. Bo Scarbrough might be on the verge of breaking out

The redshirt freshman running back was considered one of the top breakout candidates in college football entering the season, but he’d been quiet through five games. However, he had a seven-rush, 56-yard performance with a touchdown against Arkansas and began to look like the back everyone was expecting to see. He might be on the verge of something special.

Highlights

Alabama once against proved its dominance in the SEC and it will be interesting to see if the Tide can keep this up throughout the rest of the year.
