The Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes face off in an ACC matchup that could change both teams outlook on the season. The Seminoles are 0-2 in the ACC so far and the Hurricanes are 1-0.
The Miami Hurricanes are ranked number 10 in the AP Poll, their highest ranking since the 2013 season. They are 4-0 and look good under head coach Mark Richt’s first season.
The Hurricanes defense is second in the FBS in scoring defense, allowing just 11 points per game through four contests. The offense is fourth in scoring offense, putting up 47 points per game.
Last week, the defense used two fumble returns for touchdowns to pull away from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 35-21. The Hurricanes allowed just 94 passing yards and forced three turnovers in the game.
Quarterback Brad Kaaya was 13 for 19 with 241 passing yards and a touchdown. Receiver Stacy Coley caught four passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.
The Hurricanes hope to display more of their strengths this week against the Seminoles.

The Florida State Seminoles have fallen to number 23 in the AP Poll after their loss last week to the North Carolina Tar Heels on a last second field goal.
The Seminoles defense has been less than stellar, allowing 438.4 yards per game, 11th in the ACC. The defense also allows 7 yards per play, ranked last in the ACC.
In last week’s 37-35 loss to UNC, the Seminoles allowed 538 total yards while their offense produced 595 offensive yards of its own.
Offensively, the Seminoles are second in the conference behind Louisville with 508.8 yards per game. Despite a sluggish start, running back Dalvin Cook is still second in the ACC with 635 rushing yards.
Quarterback Deondre Francois is sixth in the conference in passing yards with 1,323 and tenth in passing touchdowns with seven.
