Notre Dame vs NC State Live Stream: Watch Fighting Irish vs Wolfpack Online
By Tim Kaiser
Here’s the live stream of Notre Dame’s third straight game against an ACC opponent. Watch the Fighting Irish play NC State.
For a team that had College Football Playoff aspirations before the season, Notre Dame’s benchmarks for success have definitely changed. The Fighting Irish face NC State, a team that has not beaten anyone of consequence yet this season, as underdogs.
The Texas and Michigan State losses on their own are not necessarily devastating losses. Stack them on top of each other and throw in a loss to Duke on your own field, and an angry mob begins to amass outside your gates. Brian Kelly attempted to satiate the mob by throwing his defensive coordinator out the door. The Irish responded last week with a 50-33 win over Syracuse.
NC State head coach Dave Doeren has built a well-rounded team in his fourth year in Raleigh. Sophomore Ryan Finley has led the offense flawlessly with nine passing touchdowns and no interceptions. The Wolfpack offense is averaging 40 points a game and more than 500 yards of total offense — 28th and 21st nationally. The defense has been just as good, holding down the 21st spot in total yards allowed. However, the quarterback-receiver tandem of Deshone Kizer and Equanimeous St. Brown is the by far the best the Wolfpack has faced. St. Brown already has 541 yards and 6 touchdowns this season.
The last and only previos time these teams played it was the 2002 Gator Bowl and Phillip Rivers was quarterback at NC State. The Wolfpack won 28-6.
The betting line in this game completely flipped over the course of the week. Notre Dame opened as a 2.5-point favorite, but by Tuesday, NC State was favored at most sportsbooks. NC State may be as much as a 3-point favorite by kickoff.
