Syracuse vs Wake Forest Live Stream: Watch Orange vs Demon Deacons Online
By Tim Kaiser
Here’s how to stream the ACC Atlantic matchup between Wake Forest and Syracuse.
In the big picture of college football, the conference, and even the division, this game will not have much impact. However, for each of their respective fanbases, this game could be huge. Wake Forest and Syracuse will look back at this game when trying to figure out why they did or didn’t make a bowl game.
Wake Forest has already eclipsed their win total for each of the last two season, so every win from here on out is gravy, but the Deacons have a real shot at making their first bowl game since 2011. A win over the Orange would put them just one win away, and they have a couple good shots still on their schedule with Army, Virginia, and Boston College at home.
Even with this win, it will be an uphill fight for Syracuse. They had the tenth toughest schedule in the country entering the season. To be bowl eligible, the Orange will have to win this game and then go .500 the rest of the way with teams like Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Florida State still ahead of them. The only game they will most likely be favored in going forward is at the ACC’s metaphorical punching bag, Boston College.
Unlike Kenan and Carter-Finley, BB&T Field is an artificial surface so it should theoretically handle the rain better. That is assuming they can get the water to drain fast enough and it doesn’t turn into a pool with a shag-carpet liner. Of the two, Wake Forest is better suited for a game where both teams will have to rely on the running game more heavily. The Demon Deacons are 65th in rushing and 21st in rushing defense. Syracuse is seventh in the country in passing, but that won’t do much good with it literally raining sideways. The Orange are 110th in rushing and 101st in stopping the run.
