Virginia Tech vs North Carolina Live Stream: Watch Hokies vs Tar Heels Online
By Tim Kaiser
Here’s how to stream the ACC Coastal’s biggest game of the weekend, North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech.
Chapel Hill is basically in the middle of North Carolina. However, Hurricane Matthew will have a major impact on the game on Saturday. The rain and blustery winds coming off the outer bands of the storm will be a factor throughout the game and will probably make the pass-happy offense have to adjust.
The Tar Heels love to throw the ball all over the place. Junior Mitch Trubisky might be getting Heisman buzz if Lamar Jackson wasn’t sucking up the oxygen in the Heisman race. Trubisky has thrown for 1711 yards with a 76 percent completion percentage and a 13-0 touchdown to interception ratio. Driving rain and 30 mph gusts will make even someone of his caliber less than accurate. Virginia Tech also brings in a top ten passing and total defense. Carolina does have their tandem of running backs to fall back on. Elijah Hood, while not having the type of season many expected, is still averaging five yards per carry. His change-of-pace, TJ Logan, is averaging 7.2 yards per rush.
On the other side, Virginia Tech is coming off games of 49 and 54 points. While they don’t have any running back with more yards than Logan, everyone on that team appears to have at least one rush. 14 different Hokies have at least one carry this season. Only five Heels have a rush. Travon McMillan and Jerrod McMillan have the lion’s share of the carries as both are over 40 and have 200 yards apiece. As has been widely documented, Carolina is susceptible to the run. They are giving up 237 yards a game. In their upset of Florida State last week they overcame giving up 140 yards to Dalvin Cook and 223 total rushing yards.
Both the spread and total are down significantly since they opened. This can probably be attributed to the weather concerns. Carolina was a 6.5-point favorite at the open and you can find the game at pick’em in some places. The total is down 10 points or more.
