Ole Miss earned some well-deserved rest this weekend after taking down Memphis in Week 5. That doesn’t mean that everyone was necessarily resting, however. Chad Kelly, currently ranked second in the SEC in passing, made his way into the news despite the bye week. Visiting family in Buffalo on the break, Kelly ran onto the field at his brother’s high school game after a brawl erupted. Though restrained by the coaching staff, it does not appear that Kelly got into any legal trouble. That is slight relief for Hugh Freeze.

When the Rebels return to football, they immediately face back-to-back road trips to Fayetteville and Baton Rouge. The games at Arkansas and LSU will determine where Ole Miss sits in the division standings heading into the Auburn game that ends October. A road game at Texas A&M looms on the second weekend of November, and should someone upset Alabama the Rebels could be in the division race still at that point.
