College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 6
By Zach Bigalke
On Friday night, Clemson clobbered Boston College on the road to cement their top status in the ACC. Deshaun Watson threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns on just 24 attempts. Wayne Gallman needed only nine carries to eclipse 100 rushing yards, adding a touchdown in the process. The defense saw Mark Field return an interception 42 yards for a score. Despite allowing the Eagles to have the ball for 38 minutes, Clemson outgained BC 503-251 on offense in a runaway 56-10 victory.
Now sitting at 6-0 midway through the regular season, Clemson is on course to return to the College Football Playoff this season. The Tigers still have a tough road game in Tallahassee against Florida State, but if they get past the Seminoles there are no other major roadblocks on the schedule. Barring a strange upset, there is no reason to think that anyone other than Dabo Swinney’s team will be representing the ACC Atlantic in Orlando on Championship Saturday.
