The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have lost their last three games since starting 1-0 in the ACC standings. They move down a spot to tenth in this week’s power rankings.

The Yellow Jackets lost a close one to the Pittsburgh Panthers last week 37-34. Georgia Tech kept pace with the Panthers all game and even led 34-27 with 5:22 remaining. But the Panthers would win on a last second field goal, ruining all thoughts of a victory.

They looked much better offensively, rushing for 241 yards and two touchdowns through their Triple Option Attack. But the defense surrendered 215 rushing yards and three touchdowns of their own.

Georgia Tech’s defense allowed 407 total yards of offense and 22 first downs.

Quarterback Justin Thomas ran for 55 rushing yards and was 7 for 10 with 130 passing yards and a touchdown.

This Week: Georgia Southern

The Yellow Jackets take a break from ACC play next week when they face the Georgia Southern Eagles. The two teams have met once in 2014 when the Yellow Jackets won 42-38.
