Mississippi State Bulldogs

Wow.

More from SEC

What else is there to say?

We haven’t seen Mississippi State play such uninspired football in quite some time. While Mississippi State embarrassed SEC football with a loss to South Alabama in week 1, it appeared Dan Mullen and Co. had things worked out when they defeated South Carolina. After the beating they received from Auburn, no one is buying that.

Impact Moving Forward

Negative Snowball

How soon we forget. It appeared Mullen had things back on track after the aforementioned upset loss to South Alabama when his Bulldogs beat South Carolina and competed hard with LSU. Now all we hear about is that South Alabama loss go pair with this showing. It was within reason to assume that Mississippi State was in no jeopardy of losing their 6-game bowl streak (the longest in school history). All of that is out of the window now.

The point is not that they lost.

Instead, the point is they looked so hapless coming off a bye week against a division opponent. Mississippi State must beat BYU this Friday to have any hope of making a bowl game.
