The Penn State Nittany Lions are having a pretty solid season at 4-2, and they owe a lot of credit to running back Saquon Barkley for carrying the offense.

Barkley has been a workhorse for the Nittany Lions this season, getting more than 20 touches in five of the team’s six games. He was a big reason for their success this past week in the win over Maryland, carrying the ball 31 times for 202 yards and a touchdown.

After Saturday’s game, Barkley now has 582 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He’s had a nose for the end zone so far, even putting up a four-touchdown game a few weeks ago in the loss to Pittsburgh.

Even though Barkley isn’t the biggest name in college football, he has done a great job for Penn State this season and he deserves a little love because of it.
