The Alabama Crimson Tide continue their quest for perfection this week against the Tennessee Volunteers. The Volunteers look to bounce back against the Crimson Tide this week after losing their first game last week…

The Alabama Crimson Tide are 6-0 and 3-0 in the SEC. They’ve looked unstoppable on defense this season. In their 49-30 victory over Arkansas, the Crimson Tide forced five turnovers, returning two for touchdowns.

Linebacker Tim Williams ran a 23-yard fumble for a touchdown and cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick returned an interception 100 yards for a score. The Alabama defense ranks second in the SEC allowing 293.3 yards per game. Their 70 rushing yards allowed per game is the best in the SEC.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 253 passing yards and two touchdowns on 13 for 17 passing. Running back Bo Scarbrough rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown. As the offense continues to find their identity, Alabama’s defense continues to be consistent.

The Tennessee Volunteers enter this week down but not totally out of it. The Volunteers comeback bid against the Texas A&M Aggies was thwarted last week. The Vols’ lost 45-38 in double overtime. They scored 21 points in the final quarter to force the game into overtime. They trailed 35-21 with 3:22 remaining in the game.

The Volunteers outplayed the Aggies in all facets of the game. They earned more first downs (29) and more total yards (684) but turned the ball over five times. Quarterback Josh Dobbs threw two interceptions, including one to end the game in double over time. The Volunteer offense fumbled the ball three times.

Running back Alvin Kamara carried the Volunteers on the ground and through the air. Kamara ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns and caught eight passes for 161 yards and a touchdown.
