After a tough road loss to USC, Colorado looks to get back to its recent winning ways with a home matchup against Arizona State.

Colorado has surprised many this season, even finding themselves in the Top 25 rankings last week, for the first time since 2005, coming in at the number 21 spot. While the loss to USC dropped the Buffaloes out of the rankings, they have a shot to get back in with a win over Arizona State on Saturday. It will not be an easy game for Colorado, as the Sun Devils are a very good 5-1 team, with an offense that is more than capable of putting up points in a hurry. The CU defense will have to be on top of its game if Colorado is to win this game.

Arizona State has been impressive this season. Their offense in particular, has looked good and scores plenty of points in games. If the Sun Devils want to win this game then they have to tighten up their defense. The ASU defense is allowing 33 points per game and if they want to beat the Buffaloes, which have an explosive offense, then the defense has to come to play. If that doesn’t happen, it could be a long day for Arizona State.

This game will go a long ways in helping to determine who wins the Pac-12 South and could be a game in which we see a lot points as both teams have very explosive offenses. With the game being at home, I give Colorado the edge in this matchup. They will have the home field advantage and the Buffaloes have a much better defense up to this point than Arizona State has.
