Could former LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles be considering a move to the Purdue Boilermakers?
Les Miles is still looking for his next head coaching job in college football after being dismissed by the LSU Tigers after a disappointing start to the season. Miles will likely have to wait for the end of the season and coaching vacancies to open up.
But even before the book is closed on this season, Miles’ name is being linked to jobs. USA Today’s Dan Wolken suggests one school to keep an eye on in the race for Miles’ services is a surprising candidate, the Purdue Boilermakers.
As Purdue marches toward the inevitable conclusion, one name I'm told to keep an eye on there: Les Miles

Given Miles success at LSU, winning and contending for National Championships, you could think Miles would he in high demand, but Wolken points out that isn’t the case.
Some of you guys are really overestimating the job market for Les. Not huge demand for guys on wrong side of 60 who run draconian offense

If Miles has anything going for him at Purdue, it might be the school’s history of quarterbacks going on to win the Super Bowl including players like Drew Brees.
But with coaches like Houston’s Tom Herman potentially hitting the open market or even possibly candidates like Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher, Miles isn’t at the top of the free agent coaching pool.
It will be interesting to see if Miles would entertains a job with the Boilermakers, let alone accept it, or if he would be insulted and view it as a step backwards.
