Western Michigan vs Akron live stream: Watch Broncos vs Zips online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s Western Michigan vs Akron game online.
If you’ve been following college football closely this season, you would know that Western Michigan has been on the rise. Defeating both Illinois and Northwestern in non-conference play, the Broncos have been on just about everyone’s radar lately, bolting into the AP Top 25.
Zach Terrell might be one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the country, passing for 1,390 yards and 15 touchdowns with a completion rate of 71 percent. Oh yeah, and he has zero interceptions to his name thus far — a 15-0 touchdown to interception ratio is unheard of.
Corey Davis is one of the top receivers in the country and he has proved as much this season, catching 36 passes for 589 yards and eight touchdowns this year. Jamauri Bogan and Jarvion Franklin have been a dynamic duo in the backfield, combining for 1,044 yards and 10 scores.
Akron has two tough losses this season, but the Zips still seem to be one of the better teams in the MAC. In fact, Akron lost to Wisconsin in Week 2 and Appalachian State in Week 4, but has not lost a single conference game yet. Moreover, this matchup is like the Zips’ Super Bowl.
After being sidelined with an injury a few weeks ago, it appears that junior quarterback Thomas Woodson will be returning to his starting role this week. He has been solid for the Zips this season, passing for 1,247 yards and 13 touchdowns, showing much more accuracy than his backup.
Jerome Lane, JoJo Natson and Austin Wolf have been a dangerous receiving trio, making up for a pedestrian run game. Each has over 300 yards receiving on the year with 14 total touchdowns between them.
