The path to the College Football Playoff starts here with our post-Week Seven college football power rankings.

It was homecoming this weekend in Bloomington, and you really couldn’t have asked for a better day. Mid-70s and sunny? Can’t ask for much better than that.

There were a lot of very meaningful games this weekend, including the one between IU and Nebraska. Alabama showed their dominance, and Ohio State proved they’re here to stay.

As teams are now half way through their seasons, we are going to review the best ten teams in the country.

Now some might be wondering how a two loss Wisconsin team is still in the Top 10, but do you really think teams like Houston or West Virginia are better than this team? I would put my money on the Badgers.

However, Saturday was an opportunity for Wisconsin to prove their worth to voters, and they failed to capitalize. It started well, as they took a 16-6 lead heading into half time, but they couldn’t finish on Saturday night.

They also couldn’t finish drives in the first half. In the first half the Badgers marched the ball up the field well, but couldn’t get the ball into the end zone. They had to settle for three field goals instead.

Wisconsin is now in need of some help if they want to make the College Football Playoff. It won’t be easy, especially with only one ranked opponent left on the schedule. That is when Nebraska comes to town in two weeks.

If the Badgers want to have any hope, they can’t afford to lose another game, but even doing that will probably not be enough.
