After an unexpected bye week, the LSU Tigers made short work of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Even without Leonard Fournette, the Tigers were able to put up great offensive numbers, numbers that continue to improve since Ed Orgeron became the interim head coach. Quarterback Danny Etling continues to play well and the LSU defense has come alive of late as well. What was most impressive about LSU in this game was that they were tied 10-10 at the half. Then came out and scored 35 unanswered points.

LSU will take on Ole Miss next week at home in Tiger Stadium. What will be most interesting is that Orgeron has a chance to send payback to his former school that fired him as head coach back in 2007.
