2017 Mock Draft: 1st-Round Projections through Week 7
Michigan Wolverines cornerback Jourdan Lewis is a defender with unreal ball skills and the ability to tackle very well in open space.
He is the 21st pick to the Cleveland Browns, who desperately need a cornerback to compliment Joe Haden and possibly Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett with the first pick.
Add in last year’s pick former Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib to the mix, and you’ve got a nice defensive group on your hands. Lewis has 116 tackles, 31 pass breakups, and five interceptions in his career with the Wolverines.
The Browns currently boast the NFL’s 29th ranked scoring defense, surrendering 29.3 points per game. The passing defense ranks 26th in passing yards and 21st in rushing yards given up.
