. RB. LSU. Leonard Fournette. 9. player. 50

The Lions drafted a lot of young defensive talent in last year’s NFL draft. If LSU running back Leonard Fournette drops to the ninth pick, Detroit certainly can’t afford to pass up the opportunity.

They rank 19th in total yards per game (349.3). Part of that has to do with their 88.7 rushing yards per game which ranks 26th in the league.

Adding Fournette could boost things, as he’s a complete running back. He’s ran for 3,373 yards and 34 touchdowns in his three-season career in Baton Rouge. He’s also shown his ability as a receiving threat. He’s caught 35 passes for 449 passing yards and a touchdown.

Fournette has only played in three of the Tigers six games so far this season as he’s battling an ankle injury. Part of it could have to do with carrying so much of the offensive load at LSU.
If he has to do the same in Detroit, that could be a cause for concern.
